Lost ArksPvE and PvP activities strongly encourage players to create cohesive builds for themselvesclass of your choice. For Deathblades, making a good build is pretty easy, albeit time consuming for PvE. A good Deathblade build can make this class feel incredibly fluid, using multiple charged abilities with ease to dish out big damage.

This guide will cover two Deathblade builds - one for PvE and one for PvP. These builds will help you clear Lost Ark's Chaos Dungeons, Raids, and PvP Arenas in the most effective and stylish way possible. Each build is quite long, so just jump to the build that interests you using the table of contents above.

This class has the perfect mix of PvE damage and PvP prowess, making it a great class for novice or experienced MMO players who want a flashy, agile class. We've updated the builds in this article with additional information, including Awakening Skills and Gems (if applicable). We will be adding a third build around the Deathblade's Surge engraving shortly after the release of Lost Ark.
Remaining Energy (PvE)
Why play this build?
Since one of the deathblade engravings in the western version of Lost Ark is far from great, most deathblades will be inclined to use itremaining energy– an engraving that provides multiple buffs for activating Deathblade Arts. Luckily, this build is pretty strong once you have the right gear.
Residual Energy builds focus on maximizing Engrave uptime by gaining and spending Death Orb Energy frequently. You build your Death Orb meter, activate Deathblade Arts, and then proceed to destroy everything in your way. When one of your bullets expires, unleash a devastating attack that kills all but the toughest enemies instantly, allowing you to repeat the cycle. It's fast, deals great damage, and has some of the most stylish abilities in Lost Ark.

Deathblades don't have the best skill balance compared to other classes, resulting in most Deathblades using the same skills and tripods. If you want to mix it in Chaos Dungeons or other solo content, feel free to do so. But for those unfamiliar with Deathblades, here's what most players run:

Mahlsturm | Description:Create a tornado that protects you and deals 107 damage. The tornado lasts 6 seconds and deals 72 damage to nearby enemies. |
Lightning noise | Description:Charge to move forward 5 meters before attacking enemies. Use the uncharged skill to attack with your Dual Blades, dealing 587 damage. At stage 1, charge to deal 1,172 damage and ÜberCharge to deal 1,172 damage, followed by a long sword slash that deals 783 damage and knocks enemies back. |
Blitz Blink(Awakening) | Dash 12 meters towards the target location and slash through enemies with all your swords. Enemies caught along the way take damage at the moment of impact and are thrown into the air shortly after for additional damage. |

Most abilities you use will deal an immense amount of damagebut only from behind.You should stay as close behind bosses as possible for optimal damage. For Trash enemies, AoE skills work fine. If the boss stands still for just a moment, use one of your channeled abilities to deal a large amount of damage. Weave in your class identity to maximize your damage output. And to fight tough bosses like Guardians, use your Flash Blink Awakening to deal some serious damage.
For Gems, reduce the cooldown ofBlitz Rush, Maelstorm und Soul Absorber.The rest of your gems can either increase the damage of your abilities or reduce the cooldown of other abilities; It depends on you.

Critical is a great secondary stat to increase your backstab damage even more.

Why play this build?
Unlike its PvE builds, Deathblades can easily take off in PvP. Their mix of stun immune abilities and high CC potential make the Deathblade class a force to be reckoned with in the hands of a competent player. The combo potential of this class is quite high, making it an excellent PvP class for all skill levels.
Her abilities grant high mobility, safe ways to push or avoid attacks, high damage, and great combo potential. If you love playing as a rogue or agile combat character, this is the build for you.

This build places a heavy emphasis on stun and mobility. We're not going to use too many high-damage skills here. So if you feel like your damage is too low, feel free to replace one or two of the skills (see below).

This build offers an excellent mix of crowd control and survivability, making it an excellent starter buildNewcomers to Lost Ark's PvP modes. Your main goal is to inflict some kind of stun on the target to launch an Air Juggler that will allow you to castMoonlight Sonicto cause immense damage. If you find that the skills listed above are not enough, you can replace Maelstorm or Turning Slash withsurprise attackorNorth Star.
As for combos, here are some notable ones:
- Spincutter -> Head Hunt -> Upper Slash -> Moonlight Sonic
- Guaranteed if the opponent used their dodge
- Head Hunt -> Surprise Attack (near a wall) -> Upper Slash -> Moonlight Sonic
- Moonlight Sonic is guaranteed when Upper Slash hits the target near a wall
- Turning Slash -> Blitz Rush -> Moonlight Sonic
You should focus on closing the gap by usingTop slashto launch the enemy into the air, then end the combo withMoonlight Sonic.If you're having trouble executing combos with melee characters,Use Maelstorm.It will punish melee players by freezing them, giving you a clear window to deal some serious damage. Again, if you find Maelstorm too slow or situational, replace it with Surprise Attack or Polestar for more damage.
